Tour de Entete jadi ajang pemanasan bagi pembalap jelang SEA Games

Kupang (ANTARA) – Pelatih Kepala Timnas Balap Sepeda Indonesia Dadang Haries Poernomo mengatakan Tour de Entete 2025 menjadi ajang pemanasan bagi para pembalap untuk bersaing di SEA Games 2025 di Thailand pada Desember.

“Ajang Tour de Entete ini juga akan diikuti oleh sejumlah atlet nasional yang disiapkan untuk menghadapi SEA Games di bulan Desember nanti di Thailand,” kata Dadang usai konferensi pers Tour de Entete 2025 di Gedung Sasando Kantor Gubernur NTT di Kupang, Jumat.

Menurut dia, akan ada sekitar delapan hingga 10 pembalap dari tim nasional yang akan turut serta dalam kejuaraan tersebut.

Oleh karenanya, ia berharap seluruh pembalap timnas Indonesia dapat mengasah kemampuan mereka di kejuaraan tersebut sehingga bisa memberikan penampilan maksimal saat SEA Games Thailand.

Selain atlet dari Timnas Indonesia, pembalap dari Timnas Filipina serta Malaysia juga memanfaatkan ajang balap sepeda di NTT ini untuk pemanasan.

Tentunya, ujar dia, dengan rute yang sangat panjang serta melintasi pulau-pulau besar di NTT akan menjadi suatu tantangan tersendiri bagi atlet-atlet timnas Indonesia.

Di hadapan Gubernur NTT, Dadang juga mengatakan bahwa secara nasional Tour de Entete merupakan ajang balap sepeda terlama.

“Tour ini ada tour terbesar sepanjang diselenggarakan di Indonesia. Ajang ini juga merupakan kejuaraan yang paling spektakuler se-Indonesia,” kata Dadang yang juga menjadi juri dalam kejuaraan itu.
